Delete your Signesty account

You can request permanent deletion of your Signesty account, personal information, uploaded media, and connected device records.

Account deletion overview

Signesty users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information at any time.

Account deletion is permanent. Once your request has been completed, your account, uploaded content, screen configurations, playlists, schedules, and other associated data may no longer be recoverable.

Deletion cannot normally be reversed

Export or download any content you wish to retain before submitting your request.

How to request account deletion

To request deletion of your Signesty account, send an email from the email address registered to your account.

Send your request to support@signesty.com

Use the subject line: Signesty account deletion request

You may use the following email template:

Information required

To identify the correct account and protect users from unauthorised deletion requests, we may ask you to provide:

  • The email address registered to your Signesty account.
  • Your name.
  • Your organisation or workspace name.
  • Your role within the organisation.
  • Additional information reasonably required to verify account ownership.

Requests should be sent from the email address associated with the account wherever possible.

We will never ask you to send your password, payment-card number, or card security code.

Data deleted with your account

Depending on your account type, permissions, and organisation role, deletion may include:

Profile information

Your name, account email, profile details, authentication data, and account preferences.

Uploaded media

Images, videos, PDFs, menus, announcements, and other uploaded content owned by the deleted account or organisation.

Screens and devices

Connected screen records, device assignments, pairing details, playback status, and device configuration.

Playlists and schedules

Playlists, layouts, zones, schedules, content assignments, and playback configuration.

Support information

Support requests and communications may be deleted or anonymised unless retention is legally required.

Organisation data

Organisation information may be deleted when the request is submitted by an authorised owner and no retention requirement applies.

Data we may retain

Some information may be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary or legally required.

This may include information retained for:

  • Legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Tax and accounting obligations.
  • Payment and transaction records.
  • Fraud prevention and security investigations.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Enforcement of agreements and legal rights.
  • Protection against unauthorised or abusive activity.

Technical logs and encrypted backups may remain for a limited period before being securely deleted or overwritten through our normal retention processes.

Information that must be retained will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Organisation and workspace accounts

Signesty supports organisations with multiple members, screens, devices, playlists, and media assets.

If you are a member of an organisation but are not its owner or authorised administrator, deleting your personal account may only remove:

  • Your user profile.
  • Your organisation membership.
  • Your personal account preferences.

It may not delete content owned by the organisation, such as shared media, playlists, screens, schedules, billing records, or device configurations.

Requests to delete an entire organisation or workspace must be submitted by an authorised organisation owner or administrator.

Before deleting an organisation

Transfer any content, screens, billing responsibilities, or administrative access that must remain available to another authorised user.

Subscriptions, billing, and payments

Requesting account deletion does not automatically guarantee a refund for subscription fees already paid.

Before submitting a deletion request, you should cancel any active subscription through the Signesty dashboard or contact our support team for assistance.

We may retain invoices, transaction references, subscription records, tax information, and other financial records where required by law.

Signesty does not store complete payment-card numbers. Payment details may be processed separately by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

Processing time

We will review deletion requests within a reasonable period. We may contact you if additional verification or clarification is required.

Verified requests are generally completed within 30 days, unless:

  • The request is complex.
  • Additional identity verification is required.
  • The account belongs to a multi-user organisation.
  • There is an unresolved billing or legal matter.
  • A longer period is permitted or required by law.

We will notify you when the request has been completed or if more time or information is required.

Before requesting deletion

We recommend completing the following steps before requesting permanent deletion:

  1. Download or export any media, records, or information you want to keep.
  2. Cancel any active Signesty subscription.
  3. Unpair or remove any connected Android TV, Google TV, or other signage devices.
  4. Transfer organisation ownership or administrator access where necessary.
  5. Confirm that other organisation members no longer require access to shared content.
  6. Keep copies of invoices or transaction records you may need for accounting purposes.
